About Ernie Pitts
My background includes the U.S. Air Force, where I learned to fly. I had experience instructing in General Aviation and Regional Airlines, and recently retired from a Major Airline, where I flew the B-757 and B-767. I love to fly, in all types of airplanes, and have been flying for almost 40 years. I currently own and fly a light single engine airplane. I have logged over 13,000 hours flight time to include: 8,000 hours in the Boeing 757 and 767, 2,500 hours in large multi-engine turbo props, and over 2,200 hours flight instructing in light airplanes.
Conducting flight tests as a Designated Pilot Examiner (DPE) has taught me so much, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to learn and to work with so many fellow aviators!
I do my best to put you at ease during your Practical Exam, so you can perform at your best.
Thanks very much for your interest and I look forward to flying with you! Questions? Contact me here
